Skills Camps are challenging fast paced 1 hour workouts that focus on ball-handling,
foot-work, passing, rebounding.
What Age Groups are the Camps for?
3rd thru 12th Grade Boys and Girls.
Why Skills Camps?
Great players practice more than what their team offers. Great players practice 4 times more than they play games. Solid fundamentals come from what you do before the jump ball not after. Don’t let your child get caught playing too many games with the same bad habits that may never go away. These sessions are designed as quality work-outs that every player needs to become better. If your child is currently on a team use these work-outs to supplement what they are learning from their coach. If your child is just getting started, these work-outs will help develop their skills so they will be better prepared to play in the games when they get on a team. The work-outs will be fast paced, challenging, and beneficial relative to each age group. Pay a package rate and come whenever they are available.
What happens at a Skills Camp? (Players must bring their own ball.)
Each player is given a 1 hour work-out sheet in a check-list format. The work-out is relative to the age group and position of the player. They will then have an hour to perform the work-out. Each work-out includes ball handling, passing, foot-work, defensive drills, shooting, and more. There will be an instructor(s) giving direction and motivation throughout the session in a group setting to help lead the player in the right direction. The instructor will push each player to perform the skill correctly, and to work hard to get the most out of each session.

Some final thoughts:
Like most things in life there are no secrets. If you form good habits and then work hard to repeat those good habits over time, you will become a better player. Quality and repetition are the keys. Don’t get caught believing more games alone with fewer practices will help you work through problems. It usually just brings more stress. When you are playing stressed out it is only a matter of time before you get burnt out. It is vital that you work through any bad habits you have in the gym before your next game. While others are making the same mistakes over and over again, by attending the Skills Camps and repeating good habits over time, you will be developing your game leaving others wondering about your secrets.
Beyond The Baseline also offers individual instruction.
If you would like put on a fast track to success we now offer individual instruction.
We have a variety of different instructors with strengths to fit your need. A recipe for success is a combination of individual instruction and skills camps.
